About the event
Ryūgan Savoca Sensei holds the rank of rokudan (6th dan) and is a Birankai North America Shihan.
He began studying judo and aikido at age thirteen in San Diego County. He trained under several teachers, including Juba Nour Shihan and T.K. Chiba Shihan, with whom he apprenticed. He started Brooklyn Aikikai in 2001 and has served as its chief instructor for almost twenty-five years.
He is Lemon Hill Aikido's chief instructor's teacher—and has been pushing Cruciani Sensei for almost twenty years.
